Best Superstar X-Factor Abilities for DE

There are different styles of DEs, so there is a lot you can do with DEs. However, the one thing you want to do is make your DE a formidable opponent against the QB. You want your DE to make the opposing QB uncomfortable in the pocket.

That being said, the best Superstar X-Factor Ability for DE is Unstoppable Force, “Elite pass rushers are a mix of strength, speed, and tenacity. When they enter the zone, this ability increases their win rate and block shed speed against one-on-one pass blocks.”

This is a great one for user-play and simulation. The pass blocking this year in Madden 23 is not as good as it once was, so take advantage of this. Even if they fix the pass blocking, Unstoppable Force is still something we would assign to our DEs.

Best Superstar Abilities for DE

We are going to show you something a lot of people do not know. A lot of people out there make the same mistake. The one mistake we are talking about is getting the Edge Threat.

There are two we recommend and none are Edge Threat, so continue reading to find out what we would choose.

First Superstar Ability Slot

The best DE Superstar Ability we recommend for your first slot is Edge Threat Elite, “Defenders with this ability use faster, more dominant pass rush moves and apply significant QB pressure while rushing from the edge of the defense.”

This is one you should work for to make your DE the ultimate sack monster.

Second Superstar Ability Slot

There is one ability that we recommend for your second slot. This ability should just be in the game available natively for all DEs.

That Superstar Ability is Reach Elite, “Defenders with this ability can reach out of engaged blocks to tackle or sack nearby ballcarriers.”

This is something that happens every week in real life; we are not sure why this is not just a it’s in the game (pun intended) type of thing.

This ability will not only aid in stopping the pass, it will aid in stopping the run or preventing a long run.

All three of these abilities together will put pressure on the QB and stop or prevent big run plays. There are others we touch on in the video, but the combination of the three is our recommendation.
